Terms of Service

The service

Reading Stuff is a browser app, operated by the Reading Stuff team, that converts a PDF you choose into reflowed text for reading on a phone. The conversion runs on your device.

The app is provided free of charge. We may change, pause or stop it at any time.

Your documents

You may only import documents you have the right to read and copy onto your device. You keep all rights in your documents; we claim none.

Books are kept in your browser's storage on this device. We never receive a copy and cannot recover one for you.

Storage on your device

• Clearing your browser's data, or the browser removing it to free space, deletes your books, bookmarks and reading positions.
• Nothing is backed up or synchronised between devices.
• Keep your own copy of every PDF you import.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the app to infringe copyright or other rights.
• Do not interfere with, overload or attempt to break the service.
• Do not copy, resell or rebrand the app except as its licence allows.

Conversion accuracy

Converting a PDF is imperfect. Text, code, tables, formulas and figures may be reordered, dropped or shown wrongly. The original page is always one tap away; check it before relying on anything you read.

No warranty

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the Reading Stuff team is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam.
